Rainbow Concrete Industries Ltd. has been manufacturing precast reinforced concrete pipes
since 1982. All concrete pipes manufactured are made in accordance with rules and
regulations set out by the Ontario Concrete Pipe Association (O.C.P.A.). To produce
and supply concrete pipe which is approved by the O.C.P.A. we are required to satisfy the
requirements of the "Plant Prequalification Committee". These requirements
include stringent testing of manufactured pipe using specialized equipment, and the
recording of test results, along with "spot" checks by the O.C.P.A. these
requirements are in place to ensure that the concrete pipe manufactured is of the highest
quality. This program is jointly administered by the ministry of the Environment and
Energy, the O.C.P.A. and the Municipal Engineers Association.
Pipes available from Rainbow come in sizes ranging from 150 mm to 3000 mm in diameter, and
include items such as tees, wyes, junctions, bends and elbows.
Specialty products manufactured consist of headwalls, radius
pipe, concrete plugs and caps, box sections, and horizontal and vertical elliptical pipe.
Technical assistance is also available from on-staff,
registered professional engineers. Computer programs from concrete pipe design, life
cycle analysis, and project costing for the granular envelope of buried pipe can be
